HOW ASSUMPTION AFFECT QUALITATIVE DATA
In this topic the most interesting part is about assumption in qualitative research and how it directs towards data analysis. are seven assumptions of qualitative research.
1) the individual involved in the research situations construct reality, thus realities exist in the form of multiple constructions.
2)Research investigations produce alternative visions of what the world like.
3)It is impossible for the researcher to stand apart from the individuals he or she is studying.
4)Values are an integral part of the research.
5)Facts and values are inextricably intertwined.
6)The initial ambiguity that occurs in a study is desirable.
7)The purpose of educational research is an understanding of what things mean to others. Highly generalizable that can never be found.
FROM THEORY TO PRACTICAL
Triangulation-it give validity to observation made in qualitative studies especially ethnography study.
Patterns-pattern can be attained through thorough observation repetitively
Key Events-Events that create new phenomenon that ignite and give impact to life and experience.
Visual Representation-Visualization make to identify i.e. attitude toward particular visual.
Statistics- actually you as researcher can use statistic analysis in ethnography study.
Crystallization-Synthesize from our aspect of thinking and lead us in to new paradigm.
