I will start a new research for my thesis. The topic of the thesis is Academic Writing Curriculum Design for Royal Malaysian Navy Adult Learners: A Case of Psychology of Writing
This research is on psychology of writing and how different socio-cultural environment would affect on the design of a writing curriculum design. As an adult learner, the personnel of Royal Malaysian Navy need a specific tailored writing curriculum that is to be developed based on ethnic group differences. Based on Article 157 of Malaysian Federal Constitution, this research enables the researcher to work on the perspective of ethnic differences in language and education background in Royal Malaysian Navy context.
I will divide my thesis into several small researches.
1. To prove my case: a contrastive rhetoric study
2. To prove the application of process writing: three quantitative studies on writing behaviour, strategies and styles
3. To prove the differences between ethnic group: three qualitative studies on writing behaviour, strategies and styles
4. To prove the application of different curriculum for different ethnic group: a curriculum design
5. To prove the application of adult learning concept: an androgynous teaching in teaching adults case study
I will start with the planning of writing the results of the researches soon after I finished those researches.
